Always a favorite around here in winter, this little cardinal is created out of scrap stained glass and sits on a birch tree made from old plates and left over chips of granite. The snow is hand cut and flaked quartz tailings and the "frosty air" in the background is tempered glass from the shelves of abandoned refrigerators which was a whole new experience to work with; you can read more about the mysteries of TG from fridge shelves here
at my blog.
MATERIALS: recycled china and diswhare; scrap stained glass, vitreous glass tile, tempered glass salvaged from refrigerator shelves at transfer yard, granite and quartz tailings, resin tile bars on 'environmental' MDF with sanded and non-sanded grout.
