I love art of all kinds, but I find functional art of particular interest because I have a deep appreciation for, and strong faith in, the value of good design to improve our lives and well being. I believe everyone has the right to, and need for, good design in their homes, work places, public spaces and communities. Beautiful, fun, attractive, healthy, energizing, reassuring, efficient, safe, effective and sustainable environments can benefit everyone — which is why I strive to make a significant portion of my work "functional art" that can be used and useful, as well as decorative.
