This piece was created in response to an artist's directive stipulating the composition contain repetitive shapes, patterns and/or tesselations. My goal with this was to create a piece using slightly irregular repetitive shapes (circles, ellipses and triangles) and loose, uneven tesselations in a casual manner to create a pattern motif with a touch of fun and whimsy. I also wanted to use the simple composition as a background with which to play in a more intricate way with the subtleties of light reflection and refraction in an effort to create texture, depth, movement and interest with changing light effects on a somewhat static composition.MATERIALS:

This item was carefully and thoughtfully created from recycled, reclaimed and salvaged materials which may contain "imperfections" such as small chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, etc. As with all one-of-a-kind, handmade items, these "imperfections" are considered enhancements to the piece and do not detract from it's value.
