I am delighted to be in the process of creating a mosaic mirror for installation in the new Circle of Care Boutique currently under construction at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center located on the campus of the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT.

The mosaic installation and mirror will be on the center focal wall of the boutique and the theme and logo involves sunflowers, so we plan to plant 10' tall sunflowers around the mirror and over the doors. The mirror needs to accommodate a good reflection for everyone, including those in wheel chairs, and the mirror and mosaic will be designed to fit within a 40" space between to doors while growing up and over the top of the mirror.

In keeping with my usual working style, materials will be primarily recycled and salvaged including pique assiette (recycled china and dishware), salvaged tempered glass from auto wrecking yards and other bits of tile, beads, etc., that come our way.

After a few construction delays, the Grand Opening is now scheduled for 14th February.

The project, spearheaded by the NVRH Volunteer Auxiliary, will be the only American Cancer Society Designated facility in Northern New England to provide a range of supplies, services and support to cancer patients during treatment.
